How We See It
What We Will Accomplish
It is the quest of Saidiana WORKS, Inc. in collaboration with the faith based, correctional facilities and other community organizations, to support the formerly incarcerated individual, returning military personnel, and any person who has been separated from their family for a long period of time with training and support designed for them and their family along with intermittent activities designed to promote healthy relationships and family life.
What This Will Accomplish
By providing a training program that is tailored to put all family on the same page about what’s in “the best interest of the family” after reintegration. After completion of the training, the participants will be offered an opportunity to continue meeting in support groups (couples, co-parenting, family of origin), to help sustain the success of the family by linking them to resources within their community that will help them bridge the gaps.
What We Believe
While we don’t have all the answers to the recidivism and separation challenges, we know that a strong and resilient family is the first line of defense. If we keep the family strong we believe their strength will be able to help motivate the success of their returning loved one. Healthy families spread to make healthy communities and healthy communities spread to make a healthy nation.
